Pinewood Derby
July 1, 2007Maybe not technically a homeschool link, although it has many good Physics applications, Pinewood Freak is an awesome site. Here’s one tip: polish the inside of the wheels to help decrease friction when rubbing against the bodies.
K’nex Computer
June 29, 2007These people are building a 4-bit adding machine from K’nex. It is 10 feet tall. That is a lot of K’nex.
See some videos and animations on their blog. This is a great project for higher level logic classes. Pretty good explanations are included.
